How do you face adversity? Believing that God is in the middle of it and that He will be with you unil it finishes? Or do you think everything is an obstacle to get to be with Him?
It’s ok, you can be sincere, you can tell me adversity is being a little more than what you can take, and that you are tired… We are humans, it’s ok. But what would not be ok is staying there and let me tell you why in this short but blessed post.
Let’s read something together:
“…God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it” 1 Cor. 10:13
No, that wasn’t a beautiful anonymous quote I read on Pinterest or the cliché phrase that people tell us whenever we are in trials. It is an actual verse. And as it IS an actual verse, it is backed up by God himself.
I don’t know what you are facing, but I can tell you I feel like what I’m facing just hit the point where I just can’t, but if I’m here it’s because I can handle it because that verse says so. God says so.
Do you want to know who is with you there? God. And let me remind you of who He is and how powerful He is:
“For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself” Heb. 6:13
There is no one greater than Him. Who is that one who can’t swear by no one greater than himself? Only GOD, MY God, YOUR God.
And finally, let’s read some of the great things only our God can do:
This is what the Lord says—
he who made a way through the sea,
a path through the mighty waters,
who drew out the chariots and horses,
the army and reinforcements together,
and they lay there, never to rise again,
extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:16-19
May his peace be with you, so that you may see this season through. Not only that it finishes and you may be free, but so it finishes and you may be stronger and wiser in Him. Let’s be strong just for a little more, His salvation is about to reach us. He will act. He has promised so.
